Is it hard for a ballet dancer to dance modern dance?

Okay here's the thing. There are these auditions for alice in wonderland this friday and I really want to go for it. Only thing I think it is modern dance what the choreography will be. And well I've danced ballet since I was 3 years old( i'm 14) I also do tap, tango and jazz. And well I really want to go to the auditions, but is it modern dance that different? I mean will i make a fool of myself if I go to the audition?
