Do You Think That It Is Appropriate That My Parents Spank Me Like This?

I'm 13 years old and I am a girl. My parents are very strict and are very quick to punish me. I am not allowed to run in the house, speak slang, or talk to them in a disrespectful manner. I must address them correctly at all times (ex. Yes Ma'am, No Sir, Mother may I please...etc.). If I don't I'm punished by 10 strikes on my bare-butt. I'm a very respectful girl and very respectful to my parents and I'm very obedient to them. I was just wondering if you think that this punishment is appropriate?
