Show more emotion when I dance? I am having a hard time with a piece that requires A LOT of emotion.?

The piece is a modern jazz type dance to the song "The Moment I Said It" by Imogen Heap. The choreography is incredible and I have the technique down but The director tells me I need to be more passionate about it. Tips please?
